eSignatures

On 25th May 2o1o Adobe announced a new online service brand named eSignatures . eSignatures allows users to electronically sign contracts, NDAs (Non Disclosure Agreements) – any PDF document that requires a(n) (electronic) signature.
Documents that are signed using eSignatures are certified by Adobe to ensure that no one has modified them. Adobe grants user that he|she will see a blue ribbon in the Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Professional which indicates that the document has not been modified. If you want to discover this online service without logging to it, I recommend you to watch the video tutorials using Adobe Captivate technology.

The User Interface is very intuitive thanks to a good use of transparency v. lightening (only where you are and what you can do is lightened) and thanks to a process approach (you know at which step of the process you are, and you know all the steps you have to done before finishing your document sending).

RED3 Importer

On 25th May 2o1o Adobe announced a new tool for Adobe Premier Pro CS5 and Adobe After Effects CS5 video authoring softwares : RED3 Importer. This tool allows user to import and manipulate footage from the RED ONE camera into one of both Adobe’s video softwares.

I recommend you to read the Installation Guide and read it very carefully because – as Adobe averts : ‘ The upgrade is a manual process and should be performed by qualified personnel ONLY ‘.
As Adobe mentions it on its Labs site, ‘ this plug-in supports the RED Mysterium Super 35mm cine sized (24.4×13.7mm) sensor, which provides 4K (up to 30 fps), 3K (up to 60 fps) and 2K (up to 120 fps) capture, and all this with wide dynamic range and color space in 12 bit native RAW ‘. Read the RED Mysterium technical specifications for more information about the camera. By the way, I find the camera very attractive !

You’re ready to become a video expert ! But with this plug-in Adobe confirms its determination to be(come) the technological leader in the cinema industry.

Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio

Microsoft announced recently (on 2oth May 2o1o) the last version of the robotics programming software : Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 2008 R3 (MSRDS).
I will post a new article about this software very soon ! But until I publish my post, you can download the Express Edition and try to experiment visual programming !

And visit the page dedicated to the MSRDS on this site, the MSDN section for MSRDS and the open source CodePlex projects concerning robotics.

Simulation Robotics Programming

The Simulation Robotics Programming web site is very good extension to Microsoft RDS. In addition to offering very good tutorials materials (video, powerpoint, source code), and about various subject like stereoscopic, SPL (Simulation Programming Language), VPL (Visual Programming Language), AI (Artificial Intelligence) and of course robotics, you will be able to download toolkits (SPL for MSRDS, MeshCreator for 3D modeling, ) to upgrade your MSRDS.
But it’s not all, as developer you will be able to enjoy programming of course with C# and the .NET framework but also with LabView, MATLAB, Python, Flash, Java, TCP Gateway, TCP/IP for the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT. It’s really amazing and fantastic !
